CANDIDATE GUIDANCE

The Candidate Guidance Committee is dedicated to supporting our Candidate members. Your Georgia Chapter Membership offers valuable resources to help you achieve the CCIM Designation. We provide Portfolio Workshops and Study group sessions for candidates preparing for the Comprehensive Exam. This review course consists of four modules that align closely with the core CCIM courses (101, 102, 103, and 104).

When do I submit my Portfolio?

Portfolios are reviewed twice a year (January & July), usually about two months before each U.S. Comprehensive Exam. In addition to completing the Designation curriculum, you must have an approved portfolio before sitting for the Comprehensive Exam. The Designation calendar lists important dates and deadlines. View the Designation calendar.

Portfolio Workshop

The Candidate Guidance Committee provides multiple workshops throughout the calendar year. Visit our Events page to see our next workshop. You can always connect with them for additional support.

Who should attend?
Georgia Chapter Candidate Members—this is a benefit specifically for our candidate members.
Anyone pursuing the CCIM Designation should begin the portfolio process early rather than wait until after completing the core courses.

The Comprehensive Exam & Core Concepts Review

You’ve completed the courses and, if necessary, submitted your portfolio. Now, it’s time to validate your understanding of CI 101-104 concepts through the Comprehensive Exam, the final step toward earning the CCIM Designation. The comprehensive exam is offered twice in a calendar year, typically, in the Spring (April) and in the Fall (October). If you’ve met all educational, portfolio, and elective credit requirements, you are eligible to register and take the exam. You also have the option to participate in an online or in-person Core Concept Review session.
